Miramichi Folksong Festival 2009

The 52nd Miramichi Folksong Festival features contemporary, traditional and authentic folk music.

Opening show is Monday August 3rd at the Miramichi Civic Center with Singer / Song writer Edith Butler. Edith Butler has the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement and has recorded almost 30 albums.
Acadien fiddler Samantha Robichaud will also be a part of the festival and she opens for Edith Butler. Samantha Robichaud has won over 150 awards
New Brunswick Day breakfast: James Morrison and The Down East Entertainers, the Gillis Family, Melanie Ross Breen, Wesley Jogoe and Susan Butler.
Noon Luncheons: Jimmy Lawlor, Paula Foley, Debbie Adshade, David Stone, Melanie Ross Breen, The Gillis Family, John Lordon and David Bunnell, Robbie Currie and Bob McCallum.
Children's Show: Host is Melanie Ross Breen Evening Concert: The Miramichi Fiddlers, The Landry Family, Allison and Alexander Landry, Ivan and Vivian Hicks.

Weekly pass: $ 60 Includes opening show, evening shows and closing dinner theatre. Breakfast and noon luncheons are not included. Children under 12 free with a parent - all shows except breakfast, noon luncheons and the closing show.
