Shediac Home Hardware has been a landmark venture in the Town of Shediac’s business sector since the 1970's. Located at 301 Main Street in the downtown core, Shediac Home Hardware has been serving a large and loyal customer base comprised of both permanent residents and repeat seasonal cottagers in its long career as a provider of a wide range of goods and services. Over the past thirty-plus years, Shediac Home Hardware has played a part in the expansion and development of its community as the town has grown, helping it to retain its historical integrity in tandem with its vision toward increased commercial and industrial development.
Shediac Home Hardware is part of a national organization belonging to a uniquely Canadian franchise that grants each of its member the autonomy to tailor its inventory to suit the specific needs of the community it serves. With access to huge warehouses and distribution centres across Canada, including St. Jacobs in Ontario and Debert in Nova Scotia, orders are filled twice weekly for optimum speed and efficiency in supplying the local marketplace. Shediac Home Hardware carries a range of goods including electrical, plumbing, paints, home decor, household products, kitchenware, giftware, sporting goods, and seasonal items for winter and summer. At present, the Garden Centre caters to present gardening projects for the summer season.
Shediac Home Hardware is owned and operated by Mr. Roland Saulnier who began his career with Home Hardware in 1978 at the Elmwood Drive location in Moncton. In 1990, Mr, Saulnier was appointed Manager of Shediac Home Hardware, purchasing it in 1994. Together with an exceptional team of dedicated employees, Mr. Saulnier is committed to customer service first! “We have a great rapport with the community and count many of our repeat customers as friends,” says Mr. Saulnier. “My hope is that we continue to grow together with the Town of Shediac which is expanding rapidly, and to be of service to our valued customers.
