CompuCollege Moncton has been serving Greater Moncton and its surrounding communities since 1997. With a current student enrolment of over 300 students, CompuCollege has graduated approximately 3000 students in its ten years of existence in the City of Moncton. Providing an education that is the fast track to a fulfilling career, CompuCollege staff is committed to facilitating job placements for their graduates in their related fields of study. “We closely monitor our graduates’ success at job placement in their fields,” says Debra Johns, Vice President of Operations for Atlantic Canada “conducting monthly postings internally to celebrate the successful job placements as encouragement to our students.” The true success of any educational institution is reflected in the realization of the vision of each of its students both in career goals and in life’s expectations. The Moncton Campus of CompuCollege is located at 1070 St. George Boulevard in a quiet corner of the city’s west end. Health Care Acupuncture Massage Therapy Personal Support Worker Pharmacy Technician Health Wellness & Recreation Pharmacy Technician Physical Therapy Assistant Courses are taught on a modular basis with start times occurring at regular intervals throughout the year to better facilitate students who need to fit instruction time around work and family commitments. While all programs are not offered in every school, each of the listed programs is offered in a location in Atlantic Canada. CompuCollege is proud of its team of highly qualified instructors, each with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in their respective fields, coupled with a formal educational background. As a member of the New Brunswick Association of Career Colleges, CompuCollege instructors take part in regular instructor development programs with ongoing training in adult education development to keep current in their related fields of expertise. “We pride ourselves on our people,” says Debra Johns. “In addition to having skilled instructors, we have a strong administrative team that offers its support to students throughout their studies. Our Career Services Department works with students to arrange work terms, to expose them to job fairs, and to help them to integrate into the workforce upon graduation.” CompuCollege also offers “free for life” upgrades to graduates who can also access the CompuCollege network throughout Atlantic Canada, taking advantage of refresher courses so they can keep current and provide their employers with up-to-date personnel in their chosen profession.
CompuCollege Moncton has recently undergone renovations with a view to accommodating growth and expansion in keeping with increased demand in the community for quality education, and in the business arena for skilled employees. Recent new program offerings include a new Massage Therapy Program that meets the standards of the Canadian Massage Therapy Organization (CMTO) and the Ontario Massage Therapy Association (OMTA). This program will be offered in the fall of 2008 in Moncton. Saint John New Brunswick boasts a new Trades School, Eastern Trades College, a division of CompuCollege. This college will be offering training in Plumber, Welder, Construction Electrician, Industrial Electrician and Steamfitter/Pipefitter. The Halifax Campus of CompuCollege is currently accepting enrollments in a new Acupuncture program which is slated to begin in late fall of 2008. This program has been successfully offered in St. John’s, NL for the past three years. The CompuCollege organization conducts regular market research in a number of fields, to ensure that new program demand is met with quality curriculum that meets industry standards.
To better reflect the diversity of programs that are offered in seven different locations throughout Atlantic Canada, ranging from Acupuncture to Trades training, CompuCollege is moving toward a new look and feel with a new stylized logo that crosses all disciplines, rather than focusing on just technology. Ms. Johns explains: “We are the largest private career college in Eastern Canada, with unmatched strength and stability.
